Accounting Specialist Certificate

The Accounting Specialist Certificate curriculum is designed for working professionals to broaden or update existing skills or for those seeking to develop basic skills in accounting and taxation.The curriculum provides the skills needed for entry level positions in accounting, payroll and taxation. Transaction recording, financial reporting, fixed asset accounting, payroll, taxation, including sales tax, internal controls, fraud and error examination skills and accounting in a computerized environment are some of the critical work functions that will be addressed in the certificate.

Credits earned may be applied to toward the Accounting (A.A.S.)  degree.

Courses in each level (Foundation and Core) must be completed prior to advancing to the next level. Where more than one course is offered within a level, courses may be taken in any sequence
