The Tennessee Board of Regents community colleges and the state’s locally governed institutions have joined together to develop a common core of courses for the Associate of Science (A.S.) degree. This common curriculum allows students to transfer, without loss of credit, from Pellissippi State to any Tennessee public university as juniors.

Courses and Course Sequence

This sequence can be followed by students who begin college-level work in the fall semester. Prerequisites may apply to specific courses; it is the student's responsibility to determine if prerequisites have been met. An academic advisor is provided for each student. Prior to registering each semester, the student is expected to consult with his/her assigned advisor.

Chosen from HIST 2010 , HIST 2020 , HIST 2030 , HIST 2210 , HIST 2220 , HIST 2310 , HIST 2320 . Students planning to transfer to out-of-state or private universities must check requirements and complete the appropriate courses.

Chosen from ART 2010 , ART 2020 ; ENGL 2035 , ENGL 2055 , ENGL 2110 , , , , , , , , , , ; , ; , , , , ; ; .
³MATH
is required for transfer to UTK, ETSU, UofM, UTC, TSU or TTU. Enrollment in requires completion of high school algebra 1 and algebra 2 and precalculus and ACT math score of at least 22 and an ACT reading score of at least 19 or equivalent math and reading scores or or or with a grade of C or better. An unduplicated general elective instead of is required for transfer to UTM, APSU or MTSU.

Chosen from any unduplicated transferable course. Students planning to transfer must check course equivalency tables and/or catalogs of the intended college or university.
