BIOL 1020 - Diversity of Life ♦

This course provides a survey of the diverse forms of life and the evolutionary process leading to this diversity. This course highlights representative members of living organisms, characteristics, importance, and their interconnected relationships. Ecological interactions between organisms and the environment, with a focus on environmental problems and their solutions, will be addressed. The structure and function of the human animal with consideration of the impact our personal choices have on our health and wellness, as well as the environment, will be considered. The course is for the student not majoring in biology and includes three hours of lecture and two hours of laboratory applications each week.

Prerequisite(s): ACT Reading score of 19 or satisfactory placement scores or completion of Learning Support Reading
