3D Parametric Modeling With SolidWorks Certificate

The curriculum is based on developing current skills using SolidWorks drawing/sketching commands to define basic geometry and using parametric, feature-based modeling system to define models, link model files, and use parametric models to generate 2D drawings. In addition, the curriculum develops and reinforces communication, presentation, and computer-usage skills which are highly regarded in the modern work environment. High school graduate reading and writing skills are expected as development of technical documents and use of technical manuals are required in these courses. Math skills should include practical knowledge of algebra, basic trigonometry, and geometry.
Credits earned may be applied toward the Engineering Technology/Mechanical Engineering Concentration, A.A.S. degree.
Courses in each level (Foundation, Core, and Advanced Track) must be completed prior to advancing to the next level. Where more than one course is offered within a level, courses may be taken in any sequence.
