Construction Business Principles Certificate

The Construction Business Principles certificate is designed primarily to train individuals currently employed in the construction industry or related field to function effectively as construction technicians to general contractors or independently as residential contractors. The curriculum provides the knowledge and skills in construction processes and associated technical applications and prepares recipients to translate the architect’s or engineer’s drawings into projects, inspect work, check and inspect construction materials. College-level reading and writing skills are expected, as development of technical reports and use of technical manuals are required.  Math skills should include practical knowledge of algebra, basic trigonometry, and geometry.

Credits earned may be applied toward the Civil and Construction Engineering Technology (A.A.S.)  degree.
