AVIT 2530 - Fuel, Exhaust & Reverser SystemsCredit(s): 3
The course covers engine fuel and fuel metering systems and turbine engine air systems to include fuel/air ratio, carburetor theory and operation, pressure carburetor theory, operation, and adjustment. The course will also cover digital engine control module (e.g., FADEC), fuel nozzles and manifolds design, operation, maintenance, and inspection requirements for an engine fuel system. Instruction on principles of fuel heaters, fuel pumps, and fuel filters, as well as air cooling system theory, components and operation, turbine engine internal cooling, turbine engine insulation blankets and shrouds, turbine engine bleed air system theory, components, and operation is included.
