PHIL 1000 - Critical Thinking ♦Credit(s): 3 An introduction to practical reasoning and the careful study of argument construction and evaluation. The course covers the nature of deductive and inductive arguments, obstacles to good reasoning, which may include formal and informal fallacies, cognitive errors, and the application of critical thinking to significant philosophical topics.
