Designed for under-prepared students, the Expository Reading course emphasizes vocabulary development, cognitive and metacognitive strategies for comprehension, reasoning and analysis for critical comprehension, and effective reading/study strategies for retention and recall applied to essays and textbook materials. Successful completion of READ 0820 satisfies the requirement for Learning Support Writing Competency Level Two.
